Factory visits and site walks: how building components are made and what sites look like. My own photos, people made unrecognisable.

Visit to a door factory

A walk through production: from the panel store and machining to sample doors and hardware. Anyone who tenders and inspects doors understands them better after seeing how they are made.

Recording defects before handover

Just before handover every detail counts: water stains in the new parquet, an open floor box, chipped paint on the ceiling. Everything photographed, described and assigned to the right contractor so it is fixed before move-in.

Recording construction damage: scaffold anchors drilled too deep

The holes for the scaffold anchors were drilled too deep and broke through the inside of the external wall, room by room in a grid. Recorded to document the damage.
