Apartment building in Zurich: five storeys in shell construction

Status

Shell inspection on 22.07.2026: five storeys under scaffolding, with masonry, concrete and services going in up top. The check covers what nobody will see later: insulation at the wall junction, edge protection at the roof, openings in the lift shaft and clean transitions between brick and concrete.

Defects found during the shell inspection, such as spalling on ceilings and beams or foam-filled joints, go to the main contractor as a defect notice.

I am following the project through to completion. More photos will follow.
